MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Israeli Ambassador to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ghana, Shlomit Sufa, says education is one of top priorities of her government in Liberia in terms of State to State relations.

The Israeli Ambassador made the comments Wednesday, June 29, 2022, when she dedicated the newly constructed library for students of the Jonathan Goodridge High School in Barnesville.

Speaking to students, Ambassador Sufa termed reading, education and literacy as the surest way to national and personal development.

She urged the Jonathan Goodridge Students to use the library as the most important place of studies next to the classroom, noting that reading will ready them for future challenges.

According to Ambassador Sufa, the library project is in partnership with the Duja Association of Liberia, to create an enabling environment for students of the institution.

Ambassador Sufa stressed the importance of library in opening new areas of studies, and challenges the students to the culture of self -academic development.

She further stressed the need to promote the already strengthened bilateral relationship subsisting between Liberia and the Jewish State.

According to Ambassador Sufa, Israel is aligning its developmental program with the government Liberia’s Pro-Poor-Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD) to promote important sectors like Education, Health and Agriculture.
