MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A National Qualification Framework, inclusive of a National Curriculum for Technical and Vocational Education, is being developed by the Ministry of Education.
The document, according to the Education Ministry, will ensure all TVET institutions are aligned to a single curriculum and academic calendar.
Assistant Education Minister for TVET and Inclusive Education, Sakou Dukuly, told ELBC on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, that a review of the document is expected after ongoing revitalization process of the sector.
Minister Dukuly said: “The fragmentation of TVET education in Liberia is posing a major challenge to the Ministry’s ability to regulate and provide oversight.”
According to him, Government, with its European Union and Swedish Government partners, are expected to dedicate all TVET renovated and constructed schools by November this year.
Minister Sakou Dukuly said the National Qualification Framework document for Technical and Vocational Education will then come into effect for the 2022/2023 academic year.
