MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Two suspects linked to a huge consignment of confiscated drug are said to be at large.
Suspects Gustavo Henrique, a Brazilian and Adulai Djibril, a Portuguese allegedly accompanied Malam Conte, a Guinea-Bissau National who is in custody in connection to the drugs.
On Saturday, October 1, 2022, officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) and the National Security Agency stormed the premises of a frozen food company, and seized the consignment of cocaine worth about one-hundred-million US Dollars.
A statement from the LDEA said the arrest was made through a tipoff from US sources.
According to the statement, the drug was concealed among frozen goods.
The latest seizure of illicit drugs is the largest in the Country, so far.
