Pres. Weah reveals reasons behind Former Amb. Lewis Brown’s dismissal

by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has revealed that Lewis Brown’s recent dismissal was triggered by a vote he cast against America’s interest on key policy issues.

President Weah said:” It was unfortunate that the former Liberian Ambassador to the United Nations voted against the interest of Liberia’s closest ally, despite being advised not to do so.”

He said such act carried out by Mr. Brown was grossly contrary to the bilateral relationship subsisting between both countries.

The Liberian Leader emphasized that it was regrettable that Mr. Brown refused to take instruction from the Liberian Government at the time.

President Weah described Mr. Brown as an indiscipline individual who does not take instruction from higher authorities, noting that such individual could no longer be accommodated in the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC)-led Government.

President George Weah said:” Since Mr. Lewis Brown’s dismissal, the former Ambassador has become a political opponent, spewing negatives about the Government.”

The Liberian Leader spoke at the Forkay Kloh Church in Paynesville City.
