MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A sister-city relationship has been officially signed between Paynesville City in Montserrado County and Foya City in Lofa County.
The relationship, according to a Memorandum of Understanding, will see the exchange and promotion of ideas to keep both cities clean, green and safe.
It is expected to also ensure the conduct of workshops to reduce substance abuse among youths in both cities.
The agreement will also promote value-added exchange programs for agricultural products.
On the issue of arts and culture, the MoU states that Foya and Paynesville Cities will create an avenue to promote cultural programs.
It said Paynesville City will help Foya City promote tourism and business investment among others.
Deputy Internal Affairs Minister for Urban Affairs, Paulita Wie, on behalf of the Internal Affairs Minister, signed as witness to the agreement on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the Paynesville City Corporation.
