Pres. Weah sends Message of Condolence to South Korea…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has sent a condolence message to the Government and people of South Korea, following the tragic death of at least one-hundred-fifty-three persons.

 Hundreds of people were also injured on Saturday, October 31, 2022, at the Halloween Festival in the Capital, Seoul.

A Foreign Ministry release says President George Weah, on behalf of the people of Liberia, extended heartfelt condolences to President Yoon Suk-yeol and the people of Korea, particularly the bereaved families for such great loss.

President Weah said:” Liberia’s prayers and thoughts are with President Yoon, the bereaved families and the resilient people of the Republic of Korea, during this difficult period of distress and national mourning.”

President George Weah then wished those injured from the Halloween Festival a speedy recovery.
