by Fabine W. Kwiah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Justice Minister Frank Musa Dean says planned boycott of courts by state prosecutors will have a negative impact on the criminal justice system of the Country.

Recently, state prosecutors threatened to stay away from the Court this November Term, citing unpaid salary and other benefits as key reasons.

ELBC has obtained a communication from Minister Dean to Finance Minister Samuel Tweah, asking him to address the concerns of the prosecutors.

The Justice Minister’s communication further said that if nothing is done to address the lawyers’ concerns, it will have grave consequences on the dispensation of justice in the Country.

The Attorney General has, meanwhile, asked the Finance Minister to designate a team to work with the Justice Ministry in reaching an amicable resolution of the matter.
