Pres. Weah urges Liberian Citizens to Participate in Nat’l Housing and Population Census

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Office of the President of the Republic of Liberia is urging citizens of Liberia to demonstrate patriotism by staying home to participate in the planned National Housing and Population Census.

The Census is expected to officially begin on this Friday, November 11, 2022, a day declared by President George Weah as a National Holiday.

Presidential Press Secretary, Isaac Solo Kelgbeh, said President Weah is hopeful of all citizens’ participation in such massive national undertaking.

Mr. Kelgbeh emphasized the advantages and usefulness of the Census to the overall national socio-economic development of the Country.

He also disclosed that before President Weah’s recent departure from the Country, he was enumerated by the Census authorities in the full glare of international partners.

Mr. Kelgbeh, who is on a high power Liberian Government delegation, spoke on ELBC Super Morning Show on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 via telephone from Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.
