MONROVIA, LIBERIA-An alleged criminal gang has reportedly looted the offices of the Christian Association of the Blind (CAB), on the Monrovia-Robertsfield Highway.
CAB is an institution that hosts and caters to the blind and others with various visual disabilities across the Country.
CAB President, Beyan Kota, said:” The gang broke into the facility on Friday, November 18, 2022, under the cover of darkness and overwhelmed the security guards on posts.”
Mr. Kota said the unidentified men stole a huge sum of money in United States and Liberian Dollars, the land deed, blank checks and other important documents.
The CAB President added that the thieves also looted bags of rice and flour, vegetable oil, building materials and frozen cartoons of meat and fish from the warehouse.
Mr. Kota further decried that the latest looting is the second time thieves have broken into the warehouse of the CAB.
He wants investigation to be launched into the incident whilst appealing for humanitarian assistance from local and international, to enable the institution to keep catering to its members at the center.
