Pres. Weah requests Liberian Senate for extension of his visit abroad

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has extended his visit abroad to enable him attend other pressing international engagements to which he has been officially invited.

In a letter to the Senate Pro-Tempt, Albert Chie, the Liberian Leader outlined series of other engagements that triggered the extension.

President Weah named his attendance as a guest of honor at the FIFA World Cup in Doha, Qatar, from November 18, 2022, to the 30th.

The Liberian Leader also disclosed that he will honor an invitation to attend the 13th Edition of the Peace and Sports International Forum in Monaco, France, as a Guest of Honor from November 30 to December 3, this year.

President Weah will later travel to the United States to hold meetings with business and political leaders from 4th December to the 12th.

The President will also honor an invitation from US President Joe Biden, to attend the United States-Africa Leaders’ Summit in Washington DC, from December 13 to the 15th.

The Liberian Leader and his delegation are expected back home on December 18, 2022.
