MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police (LNP) says additional arms and ammunitions were discovered on Saturday, during rigorous search and seizure operations at the Freeport of Monrovia.
Addressing a news conference Monday, January 9, 2023, Police Spokesman Moses Carter said: “Thousand pellet rounds of bullets were discovered on our routine.”
Mr. Carter said:” The LNP will ensure that the motive of the huge cache of arms is established, and appropriate legal actions taken against the individuals or any group involved.”
Recently, the police displayed high military weapons discovered at the Freeport of Monrovia and in the G4 Community in Barnesville, with prime suspect Benjamin Baker in the United States and others linked to the arm deal.
In another development, police at the Bo Waterside have confiscated five-hundred-thousand Dollars in the counterfeit and in the five-hundred denominations on January 7, 2023, from three suspects.
Police Spokesman Moses Carter said:” The three men, two Liberians and a Guinean National, were arrested while attempting to enter Liberia with the huge sum of counterfeits.”
Meanwhile, suspect Sekou Karneh, Mohammed Kamara and Vaboyee Kamara are expected to be transferred to Monrovia to face prosecution.
