MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Health is expected to shortly adopt a decade-long National Health Policy to respond to rural health needs and expand access to healthcare delivery in Liberia.
The plan is expected to drive the health sector for ten successive years, from 2022 to 2032.
It will be launched in March of this year during the Third International Community Health Workers Symposium in Monrovia.
Health Minister Whilemina Jallah said:” Such policy, following its adoption, will serve as a key pillar for the healthcare delivery system of the Country.”
Dr. Jallah said the proposed health policy will also help strengthen resilience of the health system in preventing and containing emerging global health threats.
The Health Minister lauded the Liberian Government for its longstanding contributions and sustained support towards the health sector.
