MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has officially dedicated the newly renovated King Gray Public School in Paynesville City.
The initiative was carried out by the Liberian Government through the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE).
Speaking during a dedicatory ceremony on Thursday, January 26, 2023, the Liberian Leader said:” The citizens decried earlier the appalling condition of the facility, with a call for help.”
President Weah lauded LACE for speedily implementing the project, assuring that the facility will shortly be furnished with the needed materials to operate.
He further called on residents of the King Gray Community to maintain the facility, while urging school going kids to take advantage of the opportunity.
Meanwhile, the residents have expressed gratitude to President Weah for visiting their area.
They told ELBC the renovation of the community only public school has brought relief to many, especially underprivileged parents.
The King Gray residents said they can now be hopeful of sending their children to the newly revamped school, given the high tuition being paid at private schools.
They heeded to president Weah’s advice to maintain the facility, emphasizing that they will do all they can to keep their children in school.
