Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) launches Movement to Support Pres. Weah’s Re-election Bid

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A group of former opposition supporters has launched a movement called “Friends of Wesseh Blamo for Weah 2023”, ahead of the October 10 Elections.

The group, mainly comprising women from across the Country, has claimed to be former supporters of the opposition Liberty Party (LP).

Members of the group said based on the achievements of the Government and their association with the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, they will support President Weah’s reelection bid.

Responding, Minister Blamo hailed the citizens for such move, stressing that it is crucial to the forward match of the Country.

According to him, President Weah’s reelection will trigger the much needed change through the full implementation of Government’s development plan, the PADP.

The endorsement ceremony was held at the “More than a Conqueror Faith Assembly Church” on GSA Road, in Paynesville, over the weekend.

In a related development, the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) has officially declared support for the reelection bid of President George Weah.

MOVEE’s statement of support was announced on Saturday, February 25, 2023, by its political leader, Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, during an emergency convention held at the Party’s Headquarters in Paynesville City.

Minister Kemayah said:” After careful reviewed of all would-be presidential candidates, President George Weah stood out as the best person to continue his developmental initiatives.”

The MOVEE Political Leader stated that decision for continuity is popular, not only with the Executive Committee of the Party, but all grass root supporters.

According to him, the Party will align with the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) to vigorously campaign for reelection of President Weah, in every nook and cranny of the Country.

Meanwhile, Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah has promised impact-driven decisions as Political Leader of the rebranded Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE).

Mr. Kemayah promised continued advocacy for the interests of MOVEE members in all political arrangements.

The MOVEE Political Leader was speaking over the weekend on    behalf of the Party.

According to him, President Weah is the only person capable of withstanding the scrutiny and surest of vision to lead Liberia for the second term.

Saturday’s declaration of support was attended by hundreds of supporters, including members of the Executive Committee of the Party.

Meanwhile, political pundits have termed the decision as further solidifying the second term bid of President Weah.
