MONTSERRADO COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) says its Standard Bearer will next month announce running mate, ahead of the of the October Elections.
However, the Party has withheld from the public names being reviewed that may possibly head the ticket.
The Party’s Chairman, Musa Bility, told ELBC that the decision will be reached at a convention by CPP Executives and members.
He said:” The decision is constituent with the Elections Laws of Liberia and deadline set by the National Elections Commission (NEC), to guide political activities.”
There have been widely publicized claims about the Party’s Vice Presidential Candidate, since a longstanding disagreement and withdrawal of the Unity Party, Joseph Boakai.
Chairman Bility also said:” The Party is not contemplating to turn back on collaborating with Joseph Boakai, as being widely insinuated.”
He said circulars making rounds in the public is only intended to abuse the political institution and set them against their supporters.
