MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chief Executive Officer of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) says modalities are being worked out to increase the number of turbines to six.
Speaking over the weekend during the commissioning of Unit Two of a power generation turbine at the Mount Coffee Plant in Montserrado County, Mr. Monie Captan also disclosed that the LEC is currently operating four turbines.
Mr. Captan said:” It is the first time for the entity to commission Unit Two of a power generation turbine in the Country”.
He noted that the commissioning followed a vigorous maintenance process that was carried out by Liberian technicians at the LEC.
He said the one-month exercise is part of the annual maintenance routine plan.
The LEC Chief Executive Officer praised the technicians for the effective performance of their work.
