GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police in Grand Cape Mount County are investigating a fifteen-year-old girl for poisoning her mate’s two weeks-old baby.
According to ELBC Correspondent, Hawa Nuah has already admitted to the act but said that she poisoned the infant in her mother’s room while she slept alone.
The perpetrator said:” I used caustic to poison the baby out of jealousy.”
Hawa Nuah said her action was based on an oath between her and her husband only identified as Zayzay, vowing not to enter into any relationship, while living together.
Meanwhile, the baby is in critical condition at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Sinkor, Monrovia, while the child’s mother is appealing for financial assistance to underwrite the accumulated medical bills.
