MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has unanimously voted to grant an act to repeal the Harbel College at establishing the Margibi University.
The decision followed the House’s Joint Committee on Education, Public Administration, Judiciary, Ways, Means, and Finance.
The proponent of the communication, Margibi County District Two Representative, Ivar Jones, said:” The repeal now brings the status of the Harbel College on par with other universities in Liberia.”
He added that Margibi University will broaden education and offer thousands of citizens the opportunity to acquire tertiary education.
Meanwhile, the report has been forwarded to the Liberian Senate for concurrence.
