MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Justice in Chambers of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Yamie Gbeisay, will on Wednesday convene a conference involving both Prosecuting and Defense Lawyers in the reported murder case involving former Chief Justice and three others.
The Conference followed a Writ of Certiorari filed by Prosecuting Lawyers against Criminal Court ‘A’ Judge Roosevelt Willie, for ordering Government lawyers to surrender pieces of evidence in their possession to defense lawyers.
But Government’s lawyers took exception to Judge Willie’s action, with a petition for a Writ of Certiorari to the Justice in Chambers.
This means the Justice in Chambers has taken siege of the matter, and mandated Judge Willie to stop all proceedings until the outcome of Wednesday’s conference.
