MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Presiding Justice in Chambers, Yamie Gbeisay, has declined to issue a Writ of Certiorari seeking to overturn the decision of Criminal Court ‘A’ as prayed for by Prosecuting Lawyers in the reported murder case.
Justice Gbeisay then mandated Prosecution to provide all pieces of evidence to the defense team in compliance with the Motion of Discovery in favor of former Chief Justice, Gloria Musu Scott and three others.
At Wednesday’s conference, Justice Gbeisay also indicated that Prosecution should have both oral and documentary evidence to the Defense Team, following the indictment.
Defendants Gloria Musu Scott, Alice Johnson, Gertrude Newton, and Rebecca Wisner were charged with alleged murder, criminal conspiracy, and false reports to law enforcement officials.
Meanwhile, the reading of the mandate from the Supreme Court of Liberia is assigned for Friday, July 14, 2023, at Criminal Court ‘A’ in Monrovia.
