MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A Government delegation is in Kigali, Rwanda, for a study tour on the attainment of Universal Health coverage in Liberia.
Assistant Health Minister for Policy, Planning and Head of Delegation, George Jacobs, said:” Liberia is taking clues from its Rwandan counterparts on strategic health financing.”
Minister Jacobs said the engagement is crucial to assist Government develop its own health insurance scheme program.
He said:” The social health insurance scheme if properly developed, will accelerate health services and help Liberia achieve the Sustainable Development Goals three.”
Members of the delegation include, Assistant Finance Minister for Development Planning, Benedict Kolubah, and Sinoe County Representative Sampson Wiah, among others.
