MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Education, has officially released the calendar for Academic 2023-2024.
According to the Education Ministry, the new academic calendar affects all grade schools operating in Liberia.
It said, registration which began August 1 will end on August 31, 2023, while orientation runs from August 30 to September 1.
The Education Ministry release is quoted as saying classes will begin September 4 and be suspended on Friday, October 6 for the October 10 Elections.
According to the Ministry, October 16, 2023, is the date for the resumption of classes within the first period.
The Education Ministry also emphasized that all fees, including registration and graduation, must be published in the schools’ bulletin for the year.
It indicated that fees not in the bulletin at the beginning of the school year shall not be imposed on students or parents.
