MONROVIA, LIBERIA-World Health Organization (WHO) has donated a huge consignment of medical supplies worth thousands of United States Dollars to the Ministry of Health.
The supplies include medicines for mental health and ICU equipment to strengthen diagnoses and improve immunization programs.
WHO Country Representative, Dr. Peter Clement, said:” The consignment will strengthen the country’s health system in tackling other creeping health emergencies.”

Dr. Clement said the WHO will continue partnering with the Liberian Government in addressing the country’s health challenges.
The WHO Boss also hailed medical practitioners and Government for the strides made in bettering Liberia’s health system.
Meanwhile, Health Minister, Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah, has paid tribute to the World Health Organization for sustained support to Liberia’s health sector.
Minister Jallah credited the gains made by the Health Ministry to support coming from the WHO and all partners working in the health sector.
She said:” The materials will greatly help in setting up the Infectious Disease Unit and complement ongoing efforts in treating At-Risk-Youth.”
Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah said the consignment will benefit health facilities in Margibi, Grand Bassa, Bomi, and Montserrado Counties.
