MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie has assured Liberians that there will be no war in the country.
Minister Rennie has termed it unpatriotic for any Liberian to continue issuing threats of war at the detriment of the nation and its people.
The Liberian Information Minister was reacting to recent veiled threats of war reportedly made by District 10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah.
Minister Rennie said:” The controversial Lawmaker’s threat is cheap talk because no Liberian is willing to support any war.”
The Information Minister also allayed the fear of war, emphasizing that Government has sufficient security intelligence to monitor and determine what constitutes a threat to national security.
Meanwhile, Information Minister said:” President Weah’s enviable records are key indicators for his reelection.”
Minister Rennie said President Weah is campaigning on the back of his record of good leadership, which has resonated well with Liberians.
He named massive achievements in health, education, recreation, and road infrastructure as things that set the Liberian Leader apart from other candidates.
Minister Ledgerhood Rennie noted that the country is on a good footing and does not need rescuing from the opposition.
