MONROVIA, China’s Ambassador Designate to Liberia has highlighted his Government’s longstanding diplomatic ties with the Liberian Government.
Ambassador-designate Yin Chengwu wants such ties further strengthened for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
Ambassador Chengwu was speaking recently when he presented copies of his letters of credence to Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah at his Foreign Ministry Office on Capitol Hill, Monrovia.
The Chinese Envoy also praised Minister Kemayah and his senior management team for what he termed an enormous transformation taking place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He said:” The reforms have greatly enhanced efficiency and productivity at the ministry and its foreign missions abroad.”
Meanwhile, Minister Kemayah has lauded the Chinese Government for its development assistance to Liberia.
Mr. Kemayah said:” China’s technical and bilateral training opportunities have enhanced the performance of employees of the Foreign Ministry.”
The Liberian Chief Diploma was speaking over the weekend when he received copies of the letters of credence from the Chinese Ambassador Designate.
The Dean of the Cabinet told the Chinese Envoy that Liberia remains resolute in its commitment to the One China Policy under the Weah-led Administration.
