MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Latest progressive results released by the National Elections Commission (NEC) have put Unity Party (UP) Standard Bearer, Joseph Boakai, and the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) George Weah in a close race running neck to neck.
Ambassador Boakai has obtained seven-hundred-forty-eight-thousand-four-hundred-sixty-three votes, constituting 43.70 percent.
Incumbent President George Weah of the CDC has closely followed with seven-hundred-forty-seven-thousand-five-hundred-seventy-eight votes, constituting 43.65 percent.
NEC Chairperson, Davidetta Brown-Lansanah, disclosed that the number of votes obtained by the two candidates is part of the consolidated votes from across the country.
