MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Margibi County Senator-elect, Nathaniel McGill, says the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) is working to overturn its defeat in the county in a possible run-off.
The opposition Unity Party (UP) won Margibi County with 47.08 percent, while the CDC obtained 41.76 percent in the first round of the Presidential election.
But in an ELBC interview over the weekend, Senator-elect McGill:” Said the party has identified the mistakes it made and is working address them.”
Mr. McGill rallied the support of the CDC partisans and supporters of President George Weah to join a vigorous campaign being implored by the party, following the announcement by the National Elections Commission (NEC).
The Margibi County Senator-elect said:” The first result is a statement that the work of the Liberian people must be taken seriously.”
