MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Female candidates who contested the October 10 Elections in different categories have endorsed the re-election bid of President George Weah.
The group under the banner: “2023 Female Candidates Network” endorsed the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Standard Bearer, with a call on their supporters to vote to ensure President Weah gets a second term in office.
In its endorsement statement, the group said the message of women empowerment and women’s political participation during their campaign cannot be different, especially with the CDC fielding a female candidate on the ballot.
The group called on women of Liberia to join the quest to give the Weah-Taylor ticket a resounding victory, as it is the right thing to do.
In response, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Wesseh Blamo, applauded the women for their decision and expressed optimism that with their involvement, President Weah would win the Run-Off Election.
