MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of State and Presidential Affairs has assured the Disable Community of the Liberia Government’s continued support to improve their welfare.
Minister Blamo Wesseh said:” President George Weah is a passionate supporter of the Community of Persons with Disabilities, and will do everything to improve their livelihood.”
Minister Wesseh was speaking on Thursday, November 9, 2023, in Gardnerville, during a formal endorsement of President George Weah’s second-term bid.
He said:” President Weah is aware of the enormous challenges persons with disabilities face in the country, and has appropriate plans to address their situation.”
Thursday’s program held at the Stephen Tolbert Estate Sport Pitch, in Gardnerville, brought together hundreds of people with disabilities drawn from across the country, who said their decision is based on President Weah and the Government’s continuous support for people with disabilities.
They named constant increases in the budget of the National Commission on Disabilities and other crucial interventions as the key baseline for their decision.
