Liberia’s Nat’l Elections Commission Releases More Progressive Results…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA- Latest progressive results released by the National Elections Commission (NEC) show that Unity Party (UP) Standard Bearer, Joseph Boakai, maintained his lead in the Presidential Run-Off Election.

Ambassador Boakai obtained seven-hundred-twelve-thousand-seven-hundred-forty votes, constituting fifty-point five-eight percent.

Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Standard Bearer, George Weah, also obtained six-hundred-ninety-six-thousand-five-hundred-twenty votes, amounting to forty-nine-point forty-two percent.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, November 17, 2023, in Sinkor, Monrovia, the NEC Chairperson, Davidetta Browne-Lansanah, said:” The figures are drawn from five-thousand-one-hundred-seven of the total of five-thousand-eight-hundred-ninety polling places across the country.”

Meanwhile, the Commission is expected to release more results today, Friday, November 17, 2023.
