MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President-elect Joseph Boakai has vowed that his administration will leave no stone unturned in addressing Liberia’s economic, social, and political disparities.
Ambassador Boakai pledged to immediately tackle challenges facing the country to create what he called an equal future for Liberians and succeeding generations.
He told a news conference on Wednesday, November 22,203, that the country is not poor but attributed its underdevelopment to bad leadership in all facets of society.
Ambassador Boakai said:” My administration will establish a responsible and accountable government to address the issue of corruption.”
President-elect Joseph Boakai assured of a government that will benefit all Liberians, promising that the country will no longer be used by few people to the detriment of the majority.
Meanwhile, the Executive Committee of the Association of Former Elected and Served Legislators of Liberia has congratulated President-elect Joseph Boakai on his election victory.
The Association said:” Results from the Presidential Run-Off show that Liberians have placed their confidence in the leadership of Ambassador Boakai and Senator Jeremiah Koung.”
The Committee wants the incoming administration to uphold the public trust and fulfill promises contained in their platform.
A statement signed by Ben Patten also expressed appreciation to President George Weah for conceding to the democratic will of the Liberian people.
Meanwhile, the Association of Former Elected and Served Legislators has lauded Liberians for peacefully conducting themselves during the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
