MONROVIA, China’s Ambassador to Liberia has reaffirmed his Government’s commitment to supporting Liberian education institutions.
Ambassador Yin Chengwu said:” This is why the Chinese Government attaches great importance to educational exchange between Liberia and China.”
Ambassador Yin said he believes enhancing the quality of education through support and exchange will strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.
He spoke on Thursday, December 14, 2023, when the Chinese Embassy presented four hundred bags of rice to four Liberian learning institutions in Monrovia.
Institutions that benefited include, Bomi Community College, Tubman University, Cuttington University, and the Monrovia Vocational Training Center.
Each of the schools received 100 bags of rice to help feed students and allow them time to concentrate on their studies.
Over the years, the Chinese government has maintained very good relations with schools and educational institutions in Liberia, and Thursday’s donation of rice has been described as a continuation of such good tradition.
