MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Cllr. Fonati Koffa has appointed Montserrado County District Seven Representatives Emmanuel Dahn as Chair of Executive, and Samuel Enders as his Co-Chair.
Speaker Koffa also appointed Nimba County District Nine Representative, Taa Wongbay as Chair of Foreign Affairs and Richard Koon as Deputy Chair.
Others appointed are Bong County District Three Lawmaker Marvin Cole, Chair on Rules, Order and Administration and Abu Kamara as Co-Chair.
Those appointed by the Speaker, Cllr. Fonati Koffa will serve for three years in line with the rules of the House of Representatives.
House Speaker Koffa told plenary on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, that additional appointments will be made soon.
At the same time, the House of Representatives has officially inducted Grand Bassa County District Two Representative Clarence Banks.
Representative Banks was inducted following a Supreme Court ruling reaffirming his victory in the October 10 Legislative Election.
He replaced former Representative Mary Kawor.
The Grand Bassa County Lawmaker praised his supporters for their resilience and promised to work in their interest.
Representative Clarence Banks named health and education as two priorities that will be championed during his stay at the National Legislature.
Meanwhile, Representative Banks has presented a brand-new blood testing machine to the Government Hospital in Buchanan.
The machine is estimated at one thousand US Dollars.
ELBC Correspondent in Grand Bassa County quotes Representative Banks as saying the machine will help the hospital address would-be blood-related issues at the facility.
Our Correspondent said the gesture is aimed at identifying with the hospital.
The Administration of the Hospital then thanked Representative Banks for the gesture.
