MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Country Officer of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has clarified that the Liberian Government does not owe the Council fees for administering the regional test.
He, however, said the Liberian Government owes close to five million US Dollars in due obligation.
Making the clarity on ELBC’s ‘Education at Mid-Week’ program on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, the Head of WAEC-Liberia, Dale Gboto, announced that the Council has received a check to cover all outstanding fees to administer the test for 2024.
Mr. Gboto said:” The due Government owes was more than five million but part payments by previous administrations led to its reduction.”
According to the WAEC-Liberia Boss, preparations are intensely ongoing to ensure that the 2024 test is administered on time.
