MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Foreign Minister Designate has pledged to strengthen Liberia’s foreign relations with its strategic partners, if confirmed.
Ambassador Sara Beysolow-Nyanti said:” I will work diligently to create an enabling environment and attract more investments into Liberia.”
Madam Nyanti noted that her leadership will also prioritize capacity building for employees and foreign service personnel, and promised to motivate staffers of the Ministry to remain more dedicated and committed to their respective duties.
The Foreign Minister Designate was speaking on Monday, February 5, 2024, at her conferring hearing at the Liberian Senate on Capitol Hill in Monrovia.
At the same time, Madam Beysolow-Nyanti said:” I will push for the full settlement of Liberia’s financial obligation to ECOWAS.”
Currently, Liberia’s arrear to the Regional Body stands at 3.5 million US Dollars.
She said she will work along with the Ministry of Finance to settle the Country’s financial obligations with ECOWAS.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Nyanti is calling for a regional summit to revitalize the two regional organizations, ECOWAS and the Mano River Union (MRU).
The Foreign Minister Designate, Sara Beysolow-Nyanti, said:” The move is to ensure that ECOWAS remains a vibrant example on the African Continent.”
