MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Finance Minister Boima Kamara wants the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help identify issues confronting Liberia’s macroeconomic stability.
Minister Kamara said:” Such a move will help kick start the process of improving the livelihood of Liberians across all sectors of the Government of Liberia.
He said Liberia faces numerous obstacles in rebuilding its economy, noting that international support and collaboration are needed in handling those challenges.
Minister Kamara spoke on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, when an IMF Review Mission, led by the Deputy Director of the African Department, Montfort Miachila, paid a courtesy visit to his Finance Ministry office.
The meeting was aimed at identifying key hurdles hindering Liberia’s economic growth and to strategize on potential solutions.
