RIVERCESS COUNTY, LIBERIA-At least seventeen persons have been rescued from the recent mudslide in Chio Town, in Rivercess County.
The Government’s Rescue Team recently dispatched to the County pulled the survivors out of the rubble.
Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah said:” Two persons have been transferred to Monrovia for treatment, while the others are undergoing treatment in the County.”
Speaking on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the MICAT Press Briefing in Monrovia, Minister Piah said that the survivors were rescued with different health conditions.
The Liberian Information Minister added that the Government of Liberia is still receiving updates from its rescue team about the tragic incident.
