MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Agriculture has hailed the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), for selecting Liberia to benefit from Women’s Empowerment and Nutrition Module Pilot Project in Africa.
According to a release issued recently, Liberia was selected along with Tanzania and Sierra Leone.
The release quotes Deputy Agriculture Minister for Administration, Antoinette Dukuly as describing Liberia’s selection as an inspiration and support for women to promote an equitable society.
Minister Dukuly, in the release said the FAO’s Women Empowerment and Nutrition Pilot Project as crucial to the Country’s Agriculture Sector.
The project is being implemented by the Agriculture Ministry and the Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) to provide comprehensive understanding of the interconnections between women’s empowerment and their role in the Agriculture Sector.
