MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has assured potential investors of the Government of Liberia’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to excel.
The Liberian Leader said: “The Government is aware that having a conducive business climate will attract foreign direct investments needed to boost the local economy”.
He spoke at a round table discussion on garnering investment in Liberia as part of the ongoing US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas.
President Boakai then encouraged investment companies to explore meaningful ways to tap into the Country’s rich investment potential.
The President also urged existing concession companies to do more in providing opportunities and addressing the plights of citizens within their operation areas.
At the same President Boakai has congratulated the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, on the occasion marking the celebration of Europe Day, today, May 9, 2024.
President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, extends compliments to the people of the European Union on the 74th Anniversary of the Shuman Declaration.
The Liberian Leader said: “As the people of Europe commemorate the history of the occasion, I acknowledge with great importance, the cordial and genuine friendship between Liberia and the EU.”
He noted that the EU remains one of Liberia’s strongest partners in the sustenance of Peace and Democracy, promoting human rights and gender equality and supporting the Country’s development agenda.
President Boakai, in a foreign Ministry Release, also prayed that the friendship between Liberia and the EU will be further strengthened to explore new spheres of partners and international cooperation.
