MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia, and Cote d’Ivoire have pledged to strengthen cooperation in the areas of diplomacy, security, education, infrastructure, agriculture, trade, and youth development, among others.
Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti and Ivoirian Foreign Minister for African Integration, Leon Adom, committed to the Seventh Session of the Joint Ivoirian-Liberian Cooperation Commission in Abidjan, the Ivory Coast.
A Foreign Ministry release issued recently said the Liberian and Ivoirian Foreign Ministers also reiterated their countries’ commitments to revitalizing the Mano River Union to reinforce economic integration.
The two Ministers also hailed the excellent relationship between Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire and reaffirmed their shared desire to work towards re-enforcing such relations for the wellbeing of their respective peoples.
During her stay in Cote d’Ivoire, Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti was received in the audience by Ivoirian President Alassane Ouattara, to whom she transmitted a message of friendship from President Joseph Boakai.
