LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Nurses across the Country have been admonished to exemplify professional and ethical standards in the discharge of their duties.

The Executive Director of Camp for Peace-Liberia, Abel Learwellie, warned during the first Bachelor’s Degree Graduation program of the Esther Bacon School of Nursing in Zorzor, Lofa County.

Mr. Learwellie said:” The Nursing School began with the provision of certificates and diplomas to graduates, but is now offering Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Education, though commitment and dedication of stakeholders, including the Lutheran University of Liberia.”

He paid tribute to the late American Missionary and Nurse, Esther Bacon, after whom the School was named, for her vision and invaluable services to the health care delivery system of the Country, particularly for rural Liberians.

Mr. Learwellie also lauded the Government of Liberia and other stakeholders, including the Lutheran Church in Liberia, for the continued support to the School of Nursing and urged the graduates to demonstrate commitment and diligence to health care delivery service at all times.
