MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police has confirmed that it investigates former Presidential Religious Advisor, Rev. Emmanuel Nimely, for alleged theft, deception, and visa fraud.
A police statement said the former Religious Advisor to Ex-President George Weah, allegedly deceived several persons and received money under pretenses in what appeared to be a suspected human trafficking syndicate.
Rev. Nimely was arrested on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Forkay-Klon Jlaleh Family Fellowship Church, where he served as Pastor.
Police said he was arrested based on a complaint filed by some victims headed by one Momo Fortune.
Rev. Emmanuel Nimely allegedly duped ninety persons in a total sum of eighty-seven thousand three hundred US Dollars.
