MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia has reaffirmed its readiness to deepening partnership with South Korea and other friendly nations in Asia.
The Liberian Government is pushing for rewarding partnerships in human resource development, renewable energy, education, technology, fisheries, and policy development, among others.
According to a dispatch, President Joseph Boakai committed on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, during bilateral talks with his Korean Counterpart, Yool Suk Yeol, on the sideline of the ongoing Korea-Africa Summit.
The Liberian Leader said:” Such partnerships are vital to elevating the living standards of citizens and curtail challenges confronting the country’s growth.”
Meanwhile, Korean President Yeol has reassured the Government of Liberia of partnering in key sectors such as road, infrastructure development, and agriculture advancement.
The Korean Leader also expressed interest in supporting the Education Sector by awarding scholarships to Liberian students seeking to pursue studies in various disciplines in Korea.
President Yeol underscored his country’s commitment to invest in the enhancement of Liberia’s Fisheries Sector and the development of renewable energy.
The Korean Leader promised to support and contribute to the full implementation of the Liberian Government’s ARREST Agenda which aims to promote the lives of the Liberian people.
President Boakai, at the same time, lauded Liberia for upholding and protecting the strong bilateral relations subsisting between the both nations for over sixty decades.
