MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) is to construct a modern industrial solar plant to boost its energy supply.
LEC Chief Executive Officer, Monie Captan, said:” The facility will be constructed at the Mount Coffee Hydro in Harrisburg, Montserrado County.”
Mr. Captan told a news conference on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Monrovia, that the move is to ensure stable and affordable electricity in the country.
He also clarified that the ongoing CLSG maintenance work has nothing to do with the LEC power supply, assuring of the entity’s commitment to addressing the pressing electricity needs of the country.
