MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The President of the Liberia Energy Access Practitioner (LEAP-Network), Royston Gbelie, is calling for strong capacity-building training for Companies in the country’s solar energy sector.
Mr. Gbelie said: “The training of these companies will help strengthen them in addressing the many challenges faced in the solar energy sector.
He spoke Tuesday in Monrovia at a day-long policy capacity-building training for companies in the solar energy sector with support from the Global Off-grid Lighting Association.
Mr. Gbelie disclosed that the training was intended to educate them on the regulations and process of bringing and clearing solar energy products into the country.
Also speaking, the Managing Director of the Liberia Regulatory Commission, Augustus Goanue, stressed the need for quality control of solar energy products on the Liberian market.
