MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Chief Justice Francis Korkpor has refuted FrontPage Africa’s publication, which linked him to a purported search and seizure warrant saga.
In its August 22, 2024, Edition, FrontPage Africa alleged that retired Chief Justice Korkpor and Legal Advisor to the President Cllr. Busheben Keita acted upon the advice of President Joseph Boakai and requested a search warrant through the Justice Ministry to search the home of former President George Weah.
But, a release quotes Justice Korkpor as describing the story as baseless and false, clarifying that he is not a member of the Presidential legal team.
The retired former Chief Justice also clarified that he did not request any court, along with the Justice Ministry and the Presidential Legal Advisor for a search warrant as was erroneously reported by FrontPage Africa.
Justice Korkpor, however, warned FrontPage Africa against ethical breaches in its publication to avoid misinforming the public and uphold the canons of good journalism.
