MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has made additional appointments in Government, affecting the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC) and the National Bureau of Concessions.
According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, those appointed are Claude Katta, Acting Commissioner, LERC, and Theodore Momo, Acting Director General at the Bureau of Concessions.
The release quotes President Joseph Boakai as urging the appointed officials to demonstrate diligence, commitment, integrity, and loyalty in service to the Country.
In another development, President Boakai has held a series of discussions with investors and business leaders as part of the ongoing Black Business Conference taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States of America.
President Boakai will also hold talks with the leadership of Atlanta University in exploring educational and empowerment opportunities for Liberian youths.
According to Presidential Press Secretary, Kula Fofana, the engagements are pivotal to accelerating economic growth through the attraction of business and investment opportunities.
Speaking on the Super Morning Show on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Madam Fofana noted that the President is also expected to meet with members of the Liberian Community on the sidelines of the Conference.
Meanwhile, the Liberian Leader will on Friday showcase Liberia’s secure and friendly investment climate as he delivers the keynote address at the 124th National Black Business Conference.
