by Joseph Sayon

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia says its legal team will pursue the case involving the former Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill.

Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah said:” The Government will not abandon the case because of the Writ of Prohibition filed by Senator McGill.”

Minister Piah said:” The Government respects the legal process and will abide by any ruling from the Supreme Court of Liberia regarding the Prohibition filed by Senator McGill.”

He told a MICAT Press Briefing on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, that Minister McGill cannot be immune from prosecution, citing a precedent case with former Defense Minister Brownie Samukai.

Minister Jerolinmek Piah was responding to a Writ of Prohibition filed by the McGill Senator to Justice in Chamber Yusif Kaba to prevent his prosecution because he acted on Presidential Order.
