Nat’l Public Health Institute of Liberia Ends Preparedness Assessment in Nimba County……..

GANTA, NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA- The Director General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia, Dr. Dougbeh Nyan, has concluded a readiness assessment mission at the Guinea-Ganta border in Nimba County.

The assessment aimed at strengthening the surveillance of the National Public Health Institute (NPHIL) in the County.

As part of its mission, the team assessed health centers in the County to identify challenges confronting them in responding to any case of Monkeypox Virus.

During the team’s visit to the County, it donated assorted medical supplies to the United Methodist Hospital in Ganta.

The National Public Health Institute of Liberia’s preparedness assessment comes at a time when Liberia has reported two confirmed and three suspected cases of the Monkeypox Virus.
