MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Assistant Internal Affairs Minister for Urban Affairs is calling for stringent measures to prevent club owners from selling alcohol and harmful substances to under-aged children.
Minister Mike Jabateh said:” The consumption of alcohol by under-aged children is creating setback to about eighty percent of the country’s youthful generation.”
Mr. Jabateh disclosed that he has begun holding talks with Mayors across Liberia to ensure that such regulation is enforced for the good of the country.
He has also recommended the closure of entertainment centers caught in violation of the regulation.
The Assistant Internal Affairs Minister for Urban Affairs revealed plans to stop under-aged children from being used as breadwinners for their families.
Meanwhile, Minister Jabateh has revealed plans to stop under-aged children who are selling in the streets, especially between cars, because they are exposed to danger and could be abused during transactions of business.
